*hugs computer* That was a virtual hug for you, Pook! This was fantastic in so many ways. I will try and contain myself so that I don't have to leave two comments in order to get it all in.
First of all, I loved the interaction between Kathryn and Chakotay in the series episode, especially the scene in sickbay at the end. You took that wonderful episode and provided us with all the internal musings of our two favorite characters.
I loved Kathryn's turmoil when she thought Chakotay was brain dead. I loved how she turned to her Spirit Guide during the time that Chakotay was being reintegrated. I loved how her spirit guide was straight to the point; you could hear Kathryn's influence. I absolutely loved how Chakotay's guide was with her and the whole idea about the wahkanay. *dances with glee*
I loved how Chakotay learned something about Kathryn's feelings when he possessed her body.
But, my favorite part was the scene in Chakotay's quarters where Kathryn reveals her wahkanay. Damn that cortical monitor.
